We love our families and are thankful to them for their support. Excluding our family, friends and food we wanted to share some things we are thankful for this year.
These are just a few things that we use every day that make our lives easier…
- We’re thankful for Google - Think of the hundreds of thousands of people whose jobs have been effected by having infinite information at our fingertips for FREE. There are companies whose only product/service is to help businesses work with Google. Simply Brilliant.
- We’re thankful for Wordpress - It’s only one of the free blogging applications, but it’s the one that we use and love. You can read this list of ‘our thankyous’ today because a team of programmers joined together to create a free self-publishing platform.
- We’re thankful for open source - Our web applications are developed on the LAMP platform (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) which is completely free to use.
- We’re thankful for social media - Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter have all helped us connect with builders, industry colleagues and members of the press. Many doors have opened for us because of these free networking applications.
And although we definitely aren’t thankful for the situation the building industry is facing we are thankful that builders are realizing the imminent need for change. Positive change brings growth and growth brings prosperity. We’re thankful to be a very small part of the uphill climb.
Last, but certainly not least, we’re thankful for you. Thanks for reading our blog and thanks for following URBaCS.
